Position Summary: The Utility Heavy Cleaner is an entry-level position that provides important support to restaurant staff. The Utility Heavy Cleaner maintains high standards for cleanliness by focusing on deep cleaning Food and Beverage areas while the outlet is closed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Promotes superior guest service. Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani. Moves cooking equipment away from walls to detail the equipment and clean underneath. Removes filters from vent hoods and washes them. Cleans, sanitizes and where applicable, polishes all food contact surfaces. Cleans floors and refrigeration units. Operate the dishwasher and check all items for cleanliness. Proactively maintain all dishwashing and other cleaning equipment. Clean the garbage area; and sort and remove trash. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment. Must stand for long periods of time and multi-task in a fast- paced environment while performing physical activities that require moderate strength including standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials.
