About the Role

Oversee all security and safety operations.  Responsible for the supervision, hiring, training and development of all security department staff.  Ensure compliance with all standard security operating procedures and emergency response plans. Ensure the security, safety, and protection of guests, employees, and property and company assets. Provide management, direction and leadership to security department staff including but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and discharging. Supervise, perform and respond to routine or emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertion. Recommend and implement changes to security policy or operating procedures. Direct and coordinate the actions of security personnel and other involved employees during emergencies. Review incident reports, approve detention of suspects, and oversee and/or perform security investigations. Provide coordination between property and police, fire and medical personnel. Ensure that all requisite reports and legal paperwork are properly prepared and filed by all security department staff. Responsible for ensuring that all department personnel consistently act in strict accordance with all applicable laws as well as established departmental and company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by management. Five (5) years of experience in security, police or military in a supervisory or managerial capacity required. Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of security and safety procedures and regulations. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Physical aspects of the job may include walking and standing for extended periods of time and responding to emergency situations requiring the exertion of moderate to strenuous physical exertion. Nevada Gaming Work Permit
Required for all gaming employees in Nevada. Applied for after hire. Background investigation conducted by the NGCB.

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Note: Nevada requires a state gaming work permit AND a county sheriff's work card. The sheriff's card is employer-specific in Clark County. Gaming employees must apply for a work permit within 30 days of hire.
