Primary Duties and Responsibilities : includes but not limited to: Responsible for ensuring the security of the Poker tables and all related equipment in their assigned pit area according to department policies and procedures Assists with the training, scheduling, counseling and supervision of the Poker staff Ensures the security of the Poker tables and all related equipment and keeps clear lines of communication with the Surveillance Department Enforces Internal Controls and Commission regulations Improves the skills of the staff through direct involvement, training, counseling and evaluation of their daily performance Services guests and employees and handles related issues with composure and professionalism Greets guests with a smile and friendly welcome and promotes superior guest service Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the Player Rating System Keeps abreast of all special events, entertainment and employee activities throughout the property Provides superior guest service Minimum Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Two years of combined supervisory experience in Poker or previous Poker Pit Manager experience in a high volume, complex casino environment Must be able to read, write and communication effectively in English Competencies : Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to delegate t

Tribal Casinos (All States)
Tribal Gaming Employee License
Issued by the specific tribe's Gaming Commission. Each tribal nation sets its own licensing standards in compliance with NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). Must be renewed annually at most properties.
$50–$20028 week process

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Dealer School Certification
Completion of an accredited dealer school program. Certificates are issued per game (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker, etc.). Most programs run 6–12 weeks.
$500–$3000616 week process

Note: Each tribal nation operates its own Gaming Commission under NIGC oversight. Licensing requirements vary by tribe but generally include a tribal gaming license, FBI fingerprinting, and background check. Common states: CA, MN, WA, AZ, CT, WI, OR, MT, OK, NM, ID, WY.
