About the Role

Casa Playa is a coastal Mexican restaurant focusing on fresh seafood, seasonal ingredients, and a housemade masa program. The menu from James Beard nominee Chef Sarah Thompson is designed to be family-style, with many interactive large-format dishes that build on each other, including the pork belly al pastor and whole snapper tempura, accompanied by housemade tortillas. The beverage program includes an extensive tequila and mezcal selection that is elevated and inspired by modern, fun, bright, and innovative techniques and flavors featured in specialty cocktails, like the spicy yet cool Obsidian margarita. The Casa Playa Bus Person is responsible for assisting the Servers, Bar Team, and Kitchen Team in servicing guests promptly service with genuine hospitality. Bus Persons fully understand our cycle of service and are responsible for maintaining the flow and pace of an experience from start to finish. Bus Persons have a complete knowledge of our tools, steps of service, sections, table numbers, positions numbers, traffic pattern and a working understanding of assigned menu items. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, procedures, techniques, as outlined in the service manual. Job Responsibilities Daily Operations: Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner with eye contact and intention Communicates the needs of guests to co-workers, kitchen, and management Actively participate and contribute to pre-shift meetings Execute water service and serve non-alcoholic drinks as necessary Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by the room management Working knowledge and can display basic understanding of food menu items, non-alcoholic beverages included and not limited to potted coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea-based drinks, and soft drinks Prepares coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and garnishes by following prescribed recipes Maintains inventories by replenishing

Nevada Gaming Work Permit
Required for all gaming employees in Nevada. Applied for after hire. Background investigation conducted by the NGCB.

Note: Nevada requires a state gaming work permit AND a county sheriff's work card. The sheriff's card is employer-specific in Clark County. Gaming employees must apply for a work permit within 30 days of hire.
