THE JOB: The Senior Network Engineer is a key individual contributor responsible for testing, evaluating, and advancing network tools under the guidance of Network Architecture at MGM Resorts International. This role serves as an escalation point for complex incident resolution, drives the development and delivery of enterprise platforms across on-premises and cloud environments, and ensures alignment with organizational and industry standards. The engineer must demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership, and mentoring skills, along with the ability to troubleshoot, manage projects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution, technology planning, and budgeting with minimal supervision. Provide technical leadership and ensure timely delivery of project tasks and team objectives. Monitor and maintain network systems, ensuring availability, integrity, log review, and backup validation. Manage security operations including vulnerability mitigation, account administration, and compliance with standards. Optimize system performance through tuning, capacity planning, reporting, and Tier III support. Promote a positive team environment focused on service, development, diversity, and succession planning. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: 5+ years of experience in information security, vulnerability management, or incident response; enterprise IT or intelligence experience preferred.
