THE JOB: As a part-time Security Officer on swing shift , you will help ensure our property remains a safe and welcoming environment for every guest and team member. From proactive patrols to providing assistance with professionalism and care, you’ll play a key role in delivering the kind of service that sets MGM Resorts apart. Your presence helps create peace of mind—so guests can focus on enjoying their stay and making unforgettable memories. THE STARTING RATE: $17.75 an hour THE SHIFT: Part Time | Swing Shift 3:15pm - 11:15pm Must be open and flexible to work outside of the primary schedule based on the business needs THE DAY-TO-DAY: Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the exterior, by operating a bicycle or company vehicle Monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees, and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees Act as a first responder in emergency situations Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages, and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advising personnel of threats and potential threats, summoning emergency responders to the incident, and initiating and conducting evacuation procedures Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED

Mississippi
Mississippi Gaming Employee License
Required for gaming-floor employees at Mississippi licensed casinos. Process includes background check and fingerprinting.

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Gaming Surveillance Certification
CCTV operator or gaming surveillance certification (e.g., IASIR). Not universally required but highly preferred. Some states require a surveillance-specific endorsement on the gaming license.
