Job Description: Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Aviation Technician is to ensure that timely and appropriate maintenance is provided for the assigned aircraft, to ensure safe operations and compliance with all FAA and aviation industry requirements. This includes all manufacturer-mandated repairs, as well as calendar and hourly maintenance needs. Ability to keep aircraft and work areas at the highest standards possible. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Sands Aviation, LLC policies, practices, and procedures. All Sands Aviation, LLC Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Well versed in all facets of maintenance, from dealing with vendors and manufacturers, to documentation and installation of parts. Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short-term and long-term profitability objectives. Ensure compliances with all FAA, manufacturer, and aviation maintenance requirements. Launch and recover assigned aircrafts. Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core services standards and brand attributes. Perform pre- and post-flight inspections and clear any discrepancies found during the course of an inspection. Perform maintenance and inspections in accordance with manufacturers approved methods and current FARS rules. Keep abreast of and maintain a current working knowledge of the procedures, parts and tools needed to perform maintenance and repair work on the company aircraft. Be responsible for the strict adherence to the inspection system employed for assigned aircraft. Supervise refueling and checking of fuel and lubricants. Must have personal tools used in the performance of duties
