About the Role

Hourly Pay:$11.00-$11.00 The Encore Boston Harbor Poker Dealer is responsible for accurately dealing poker games in the pit and for the accuracy of fills and credits. Ensures that gaming activity is conducted in accordance with all relevant gaming regulations JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.  Participate in the execution of short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement.  Identifies key drivers of success. Actively contributes to departmental performance, and the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports. Verifies that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and property-wide controls are enforced within the department. Delivers and maintains a maximum level of service.  Contributes to company-wide communication and best practices. Assists in providing training opportunities for team members. Keeps informed of all new developments within the department. Delivers professional service to internal and external guests and team members, which may require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Responsible for addressing guest and team member issues as appropriate.  Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations. Simultaneously executes and maintains dealing poker game, player tracking, bankroll maintenance, and guest service. Monitors guest activity while at tables and maintains open communication with supervisors regarding table games activities. Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations and house policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any irregularities in the play and/or transactions during the shift. Nevada
Nevada Gaming Work Permit
Required for all gaming employees in Nevada. Applied for after hire. Background investigation conducted by the NGCB.

Required for all employees working in Clark County (Las Vegas area) gaming establishments. Applied for through the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Renewed annually.

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Dealer School Certification
Completion of an accredited dealer school program. Certificates are issued per game (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker, etc.). Most programs run 6–12 weeks.

Note: Nevada requires a state gaming work permit AND a county sheriff's work card. The sheriff's card is employer-specific in Clark County. Gaming employees must apply for a work permit within 30 days of hire.
