THE JOB: As an On Call Poker Room Host, you’ll play a key role in creating an exciting and welcoming environment on the poker floor by delivering exceptional guest service at every table and ensuring a memorable experience for every guest. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the player waitlist, assisting with seating, starting and monitoring games, and supporting the overall flow of operations while clearly explaining game rules, answering guest questions, and maintaining a friendly, engaging presence. You’ll also build strong guest relationships by promoting awareness and participation in the MGM Rewards program, helping drive engagement while enhancing each guest’s overall experience. THE STARTING RATE : $12.50 +Tips and Tournament Shares THE DAY-TO-DAY: Create a welcoming and engaging experience by greeting and seating guests, opening games as directed by the supervisor, and answering questions or explaining rules as needed Develop customer relations, facilitate usage of the MGM rewards card and evaluate play for complimentary purposes Get players checks and maintain poker table banks to ensure efficient operation Responsible for tracking players by using computer tracking system THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Must be 21 years of age or older THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more Free meals in our employee dining room Free parki

Licensing Requirements

Nevada
Nevada Gaming Work Permit
Required for all gaming employees in Nevada. Applied for after hire. Background investigation conducted by the NGCB.

Live-scan fingerprinting submitted to FBI. Required before most state gaming licenses are issued.

Dealer School Certification
Completion of an accredited dealer school program. Certificates are issued per game (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker, etc.). Most programs run 6–12 weeks.

Note: Nevada requires a state gaming work permit AND a county sheriff's work card. The sheriff's card is employer-specific in Clark County. Gaming employees must apply for a work permit within 30 days of hire.
