The Banquet Server is responsible to provide guest with an enjoyable, expertly served dining experience that exceeds their expectations. In order to execute this goal you may be required to perform any combination of the following duties: welcome greeter, cocktail server, hors d’oeuvre passer, reception bus person, buffet runner, front server, back server, exit usher. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times. 2. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff. 3. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. 4. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment. 5. Attend all necessary meetings. 6. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule. Other Responsibilities: 1. Familiarization: • Report to work station as scheduled and on time. • Complete the shift and check schedule for next shift. 2. Side Work: Fold napkins Prep food items Set back station Set side station Set tray jack and stands Break down post function Prep and set room 3. General Service Skills: • Lift and carry oval serving trays • Lift and carry cocktail trays • Set cocktail tables • Set dining tables • Pass reception food • Serve condiments • Serve French/Russian style • Refresh bread at dining tables • Change ash
Note: NY has commercial casinos, tribal casinos, and racinos. Commercial casino employees go through the NYSGC. NYC-area casino licenses are in the licensing pipeline as of 2025.
